Our Beliefs
At Yes Lord, we are committed to equipping individuals with the knowledge and understanding of the gospel. Our resources are designed to empower and inspire a deeper connection with the Lord.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is a divine revelation from God to humanity, and the infallible rule for faith, life, and conduct. It is superior to human thinking, though never contrary to sound reason and wisdom.
(2 Timothy 3:15–16; 1 Peter 2:2)
God: Eternal Creator and Redeemer
We believe in one true and living God, eternally self-existent as the “I AM,” Creator of all things, and Redeemer of mankind. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three in one—demonstrating the fullness of divine relationship and unity.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10–11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
Jesus Christ: Son, Savior, King
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. We affirm His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of God. Jesus is the only way to salvation, and through Him alone, we are reconciled to God.
(Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Philippians 2:9–11)
The Holy Spirit: Empowering Presence
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead—co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, distinct from the new birth, as a gift for all believers, providing power to be witnesses and equipping the Church with spiritual gifts.
(John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 2:1–4; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49)
Revelation and Overcoming Power
We believe in the victory of the believer through the finished work of Christ and the testimony of our faith. As it is written:
"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..."
(Revelation 12:11)
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by full immersion as an outward expression of an inward transformation. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 10:47–48)
Communion
We observe the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. The bread represents His body broken for us, and the cup His blood shed for our redemption. We partake until He returns, proclaiming the power of the New Covenant.
(1 Corinthians 11:23–26; 2 Peter 1:4)
Sanctification
We believe sanctification is both a definite and progressive work of grace, beginning at salvation and continuing through the believer's life. By the work of the Holy Spirit, we are daily being conformed to the image of Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Hebrews 12:14)
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the dwelling place of God through the Holy Spirit. Each believer is an essential part of the Church’s mission—to evangelize the world, worship God, and build up one another in faith and love.
(Ephesians 1:22–23; Hebrews 12:23; Mark 16:15–20; Ephesians 4:11–16)
Healing
We believe that physical, emotional, and spiritual healing is provided through the atonement of Jesus Christ. It is a blessing made available to all believers.
(Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:16–17; James 5:14–16)
Resurrection and Hope
We believe in the blessed hope—the return of Jesus Christ. At His coming, the dead in Christ will rise, and those who remain will be caught up with Him. We look forward to the resurrection and eternal reign of Christ.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52; Titus 2:13)
Final Judgment
We believe in a final judgment, where all will stand before God. Those whose names are not found in the Book of Life will face eternal separation, while believers will enter into everlasting life with Christ.
(Revelation 20:11–15; Matthew 25:31–46)
The New Heaven and New Earth
We believe in the promise of a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells, and God’s Kingdom will be fully established forever.
(2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21–22)
